Some event organizers pay me with weed to perform on stage

Blakk Rasta, a well-known Ghanaian reggae artist and media figure, has slammed certain event organizers for insulting him by just handing him weed after he had an exciting performance on stage.

"I arrive with a complete band set to rock the people with full energy for two hours, then I finish and you say all Rastaman need is weed," he says. They provide you raw cannabis, transportation, and instructions to leave after the show." Blakk Rasta expressed his dissatisfaction in an interview with Citi TV.

This attitude, he believes, demonstrates that event organizers have taken the Rasta for granted and must put a halt to it.

"For far too long, people have taken Rasta for granted," he lamented.

The most distressing aspect of the situation, according to Blakk Rasta, is that the same organizers pay other artistes who merely mime on stage more than GHC500k, but when it comes to the Rasta, they deny him what he rightfully deserves.

"They'll call a certain ball head and pay him GHc500k to come and mime," he said, adding, "see, I write some of the best songs in the world, but wickedness and money will draw people to you."
