Snake bits genitals of student in disused KVIP toilet at Assin Fosu College of Education

The management of Assin Fosu College of Education (FOSCO) in the Central region has denied accusations that one of its pupils was bitten by a snake in the testicles.

In a statement describing what transpired, school officials said: "The event happened in a decommissioned KVIP restroom, not the dormitories, as some media outlets reported. Because the victim was alone in the bathroom when he was attacked, it's unclear how he managed to photograph the snake in this situation."

"Such sensational and unprofessional conduct by media organizations that intentionally distort facts to misinform the public and provoke undue fear and panic has to be denounced and monitored by regulatory bodies," the report said.

The management stated that students were warned not to use the KVIP facility after a Municipal Engineer stated that it was unsafe to use, yet some students continued to use the closed KVIP toilet.

"Despite this, some students have continued to use the closed KVIP restroom, much to Management's chagrin. The unfortunate student came face to face with the snake while attempting to use the closed KVIP toilet on one of these efforts," the school administration took notice.
