Topping Apple music chart in Nigeria is an achievement for me – Black Sherif replies Kiki Marley [Video]

Black Sherif has shot down an opinion by Rufftown Records signee Kiki Marley that topping charts in Nigeria on Apple Music is not an achievement to celebrate.

Kiki during an interview with SammyKay stated with reasons why she thinks the ‘Kwaku the Traveler’ hitmaker should not be celebrated following his record of topping Apple Music charts in Nigeria; the first time for a Ghanaian artist.

His latest song is also the second most-streamed Hip-hop artiste on Audiomack Worldwide this week. A tweet made by Audiomack this morning listed Black Sherif as a Nigerian.

Many Ghanaians are still celebrating it but

in Kiki Marley’s view, as big as Blacko’s talent is, he can do more than that, and breaking the Apple Music chart in Nigeria shouldn’t be the standard for the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

According to her, Nigerian artists don’t make noise when they break through the Ghanaian music market because they think global and don’t limit themselves to the continent.

Reacting to Kiki’s opinion in an interview on Hitz FM, Blacko was of the view that being the first Ghanaian to achieve that feat is a big achievement for him.
